A stunning Madagascar Diadem butterfly in a handmade wooden frame mounted on high-quality acid-free conservation board. The Latin and common names are printed underneath the specimen.
This species is endemic to Madagascar it was described in 1863 by William Chapman, which had been collected by J. Caldwell from Antananarivo in Madagascar. It is now one of the most popular butterflies among collectors.
The wingspan can reach 8-10cm. Bodies will often be removed due to grease buildup that will damage the wings.
