A prehistoric looking Trilobite beetle in a handmade wooden frame mounted on high-quality acid-free conservation board. The Latin and common names are printed underneath the specimen.

Platerodrilus is a genus of beetles of the family Lycidae. The females stay in the larval form and are about 4-8 cm in length. They have a flat dark body with large scales over the head, resembling trilobites, hence the informal names Trilobite beetle, "Sumatran Trilobite larva" or Trilobite larva.

Please Be Aware: The specimen that you will receive may differ in size, shape or colour very slightly since you are purchasing a natural product.
