I signed up for the mini beast club, I picked the blue swallowtail because let’s be honest it’s such a striking butterfly.

It arrived and pictures don’t do it justice. It’s so elegantly done and really does stop people in their tracks to compliment it.

The arrival of a new minibeast is a big event in our house, we gather round the box and wonder what type of insect we will have today, every time we discover the new addition to our collection it’s met with ‘WOW!’ As we all take a look at the new addition.
We love these, the colour of the insects, it’s creative, high quality specimens and frames and educational.
Best subscription I’ve ever paid for, we’re at the start of our collection, can’t wait to get more and more!

One of my favourite butterflies!

The iridescent pink/purple on this butterfly is so understated in the photos. It’s really quite hard to capture how gorgeous it is with a camera. The butterfly is such good quality and shines in the light. The frame is amazing quality. I understand why this butterfly is named so!

The must-have moth for every collection!

I had one of these when I was a kid - such a fascinating moth, I think it would be a great addition to any collection even without the famous skull pattern on it’s back, but it’s that and the link to Thomas Harris’s book that makes it such a must-have species I think. As with my other specimens from minibeast, it’s immaculately presented in a well constructed frame that hangs easily on my wall. Stunning.

Magnificent.

This imperial sawyer beetle is hands down my absolute favourite beetle so far. It is just so impressive in size and overall look. Much more impressive in person than the pics denote. I can’t help but look at it all the time. I love the rich brown colour and the huge jointed antennae. Even down to the little gripping claw on the end of its legs. If I looked down and saw this beetle on me, I would certainly run for the hills. LOVE.
