The Lanternfly is a species of planthopper, that lives in Vietnam, Hong Kong, Thailand and other parts of Asia. The Laternflys long slender nose is used to pierce tree bark to reach the phloem.

The Pyrops candelaria wingspan can reach 5.1-6.4 cm.
