Brilliant Beetles

The beetles were a present for my daughter who loves collecting them. She is pleased that they are ethically sourced. They are great specimens, in good condition and well mounted and displayed. It was shipped in great condition! I was worried it would be smooshed or the glass would be broken but everything was in tact! When I saw this I knew I had to have it and the little embellishments on the corners really make the piece feel elegant. Hard to take a pic because the glass is reflective but so awesome!

Among the garishness of my butterflies, the rusty colours of this massive grasshopper have an earthy richness about them. I'd recommend keeping this piece somewhere prominent where you can more easily admire all the beautiful details, such as the texture on the thorax, the patterns on the wings and the spurs on the hind legs.
