Rhinoceros beetles, the Dynastinae, are a subfamily of the scarab beetle family: Scarabaeidae. They are also known as Hercules beetles, unicorn beetles, or horn beetles. Males can grow to between 4-6 cm long and are dark brown, dark red, or black in coloration and have a very shiny texture.
