An extremely rare and magnificent Obi Island Birdwing butterfly in a handmade wooden frame mounted on high-quality acid-free conservation board. The Latin and common names are printed underneath the specimen.
Ornithoptera aesacus or also known as the Obi Island birdwing is a rare species of birdwing local to the island of Obira, Indonesia.
These birdwings are CITES appendix II protected and all appropriate paperwork has been completed for their importation into the UK.
