An Achemon sphinx moth in a handmade wooden frame mounted on a high-quality acid-free conservation board. The Latin and common names are printed underneath the specimen.
The Achemon sphinx is native to North America, where it is known from most of the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
It can be identified from all other Eumorpha species by the hindwing upperside being uniformly pale pink from the base to the diffuse and the dark brown submarginal band.
Its wingspan reaches 9-10 cm centimetres.
