A Filipino Atlas Moth in a handmade wooden frame mounted on high-quality acid-free conservation board. The Latin and common names are printed underneath the specimen.


Attacus lemairei, discovered in 1985 by Peigler, is a large moth endemic to Palawan, Phillipines. The moth is extremely large and spectacular and known for it's hair-like scales covering their body. A very close specimen to the Attacus atlas, but much more striking colouration and pink tones.
