A Cynosura eighty-eight butterfly in a handmade wooden frame mounted on high-quality acid-free conservation board. The Latin and common names are printed underneath the specimen.

The is a species of butterfly of the family Nymphalidae. It is found from Mexico to Peru and Brazil. Named for its '88' or '89' markings on each wing. These butterflies often frequent human interaction and are considered a sign of good luck by some communities.

The wingspan is about 4.7 cm. The upper side of the wings is black, banded with brilliant red.
