Charaxes pollux or also known as the Black-bordered Charaxes is part of the family Nymphalidae. This butterfly is widely found across Africa.

The wingspan on males can reach a length of 3.6-4.6 cm.

The wingspan on females can reach up to 4.1-5.1 cm.
