A huge Elephant beetle with its wings spread in a handmade wooden box frame mounted on high-quality acid-free conservation board. The Latin and common names are printed underneath the specimen.
These beetles have fine microscopic hairs that grow very thick on the beetles elytra. The hairs make the beetle look greeny-yellowish. The males have a large horn on the head, used for defence and competing with other males.
