The Dawn Redwood fossil was a member of the Metasequoia genus, this fossil shows the evolution of plant life on Earth. It also displays peculiar characteristics of these historic trees, which were formerly believed to be extinct, until their rediscovery in the middle of the 20th century.
The fossil you receive will be a very close example to the one shown in the photo.
