Morpho uraneis is a Neotropical butterfly. It is found around America in places like Brazil and Ecuador. These butterflies are large with shiny forewings that have a concave outer edge. The upperside is a dark iridescent blue.

The specimen will have had its body removed by the farm as they contain grease which destroys the wings.
