A Orthoceras Pear Drop Fossil 13-15cm in a handmade wooden frame mounted on high-quality acid-free conservation board. The Latin and common names are printed underneath the specimen.


Orthoceras is an ancient cephalopod that lived about 450+ million years ago. The name means straight horn, referencing it’s long conical like shell. The preserved shell in limestone, is all that remains.
