Spinosaurus was a large predator, it had a sail back well adapted to wading and hunting in shallow water. The name Spinosaurus means "Spine Lizard", was found in North Africa during the Cenomanian to upper Turonian stages of the Late Cretaceous period, about 110 to 94 million years ago.
