Lovely specimen that surprised me with having partially transparent wings when I got to see it in person. It’s a little hard to see against the white paper but it definitely makes the creature so much more intriguing.

Over 40 years ago I bought my first mount, an Atticus Atlas as it was supposed to be the largest moth.. Sadly it bleached in the sun and is quite pale now. This replacement is in a clear glass frame and will remain in a windowless room, so this one won't bleach.

Another Reviewer suggested a pair of these makes a nice contrast with blue butterflies. I'm getting a pair and will put them atop my Morpho wall.

Tails keep showing up on butterflies and moths and I wonder what evolutionary advantage they convey. I think these are some of the longest tails and maybe a predator just ends up with a mouth full of tail.
