A fossilised red Cleoniceras ammonite pair cut & polished to show the internal structures and calcifications displayed on a fabricated steel stand. Handmade by our Hertfordshire blacksmiths.

Ammonites are an extinct group of marine mollusc that lived hundreds of millions of years ago. Starting as very small sea creatures as they evolved and grew, so did the shell making these magnificent fossils.

The fossil you receive will be a very close example to the one shown in the photo.

Fossil Origin: Madagascar

Fossil Size: 4 Inch

Distribution: Cleoniceras sp fossils are found in Middle Albian of Europe, Madagascar and Transcaspian region.
