A huge 16.5 cm whole polished ammonite fossil on a hand fabricated steel stand by our UK blacksmiths.
The fossil has been polished to show the structure and preserved limestone and calcite. Ammonites are an extinct group of marine mollusc that lived hundreds of millions of years ago. Starting as very small sea creatures, as they evolved and grew, so did the shell making these magnificent fossils.
