Mosasaurs were massive marine reptiles that lived during the Late Cretaceous period, around 66-70 million years ago. They were streamlined predators equipped with powerful jaws and sharp teeth.
Fully adapted to sea life, mosasaurs had paddle-like limbs and a muscular tail for propulsion, ranging from around 10 feet to giants exceeding 50 feet in length. As top predators, they ruled the oceans alongside sharks and ichthyosaurs.
The tooth is displayed on a composite matrix.
