Minimal Sexual Dimorphism : Morpho Helenor Marinita

This pair shows little sexual dimorphism. The female is bigger and her iridescence more purple than the male's which is greenish. In other Morphos the dimorphism is so great, that they were thought to be different species

African Emperor: Papilio Ophidicephalus

Although I caught my first butterfly at the age of 8, I had long abandoned butterflies. Until last November when my son photographed one outside the Kilamanjaro Airport and asked me to identify it. So at the age of 75 I set out to fulfill a life long dream- a room full of butterflies.

Giant Female Morpho Didius

This butterfly amply fills the 9 by 7 frame. Paying a little more for a double glass frame is well worth it.

Wildest Iridescence: Morpho Sulkowskyi pair

From green to purple the male Sulkowskyi has the greatest spectral width of iridescence of all the butterflies. A patch of iridescence survives the sexual dimorphism in the female hind wing.

The Most Clourful Owl: Caligo Uranus

"Caligo " is supposed to refer to its dark jungle habitat So I was surprised to find this gold and purple stunner. The subtle purple iridescence was all I hoped for .

The specimen is extremely colorful and vibrant. The dome is secured in the base as well. This was the first order my wife and I had ordered with nothing but satisfaction.

YouTuber builds his studio

I am a YouTuber and previously used a blue paper wall for filming. My living room didn't look so pretty because of it. I wanted to change that and came across Minibeast.
I took out a subscription and ordered 13 more objects. In the photos you can see how I transformed my new studio. More frames have already been ordered! :-)

My favorite white butterfly

The Great Nawab offers the greatness of white color. Especially with dark wwalls like mine dark blue it sticks out.

MUST HAVE for your collection

This butterfly is big and the color looks very beautiful in the sun. Even at night with darker TV light you can see the blue clearly because its little bit brighter.

It gives a nice contrast to my blue butterflys. :-) And I like that the frame has a high format. Most butterflys have a landscape format. So it's good for gallerys walls.

I tried to capture the blue with my iPhone Pro Max. It wasnt possible. By far my favorite butterfly. Trust me, it's worth every penny.

This butterfly really is something special , I do believe it has set off the beginning of an obsession with Morphos and I feel like I want them all now. The way light reflects off the wings in a holographic effect brings me nostalgic memories from my childhood

Bright and cheerful

This butterfly puts a splash of summer cheer into my collection the colours are lovely. I would of liked to of seen information in discription that this butterfly faces the other way around as the pattern on his wings are under them not over like all my others which makes his positioning and shadow different

Big Beauty

This fella is a beast, his wings outlined with white makes him look like he’s been cut out of a book very original. His pattern and shading is gorgeous however can be hard to see this without bright sunlight shining directly on him

Dark

I was really excited about receiving this little firey boy, unfortunately in my house - perhaps it is just not bright enough but he mainly looks black unless I get up close and shine a torch on him. His middle colour is what makes him stand out and he has an antiquey look about him over all

Bold

Love the modern artistic flare of this butterfly , like it’s straight from a drawing. The colours really do pop - when direct light is shined on them. Best in a sunny spot or infront of lamp to really see it’s full beauty.

Unique

Love this little butterfly, I actually had no idea when buying it that it was see through but this is really what makes this little creature so special. When the light hits certain ways it creates the illusion of double wings

Own a piece of ancient history

Looks great on my living room wall. Bigger than expected. Humbling to own something hundreds of millions of years old. My first purchase from minibeast. Will definitely return in the future and recommend to others. I don't know if acquiring a trilobite is possible. Would be a cool addition.
