Mosasaur swam the oceans approximately 70-66 million years ago, during the Late Cretaceous epoch, Mosasaurs were ferocious sea reptiles. This tooth, still linked to its original root, offers important details about the composition and functionality of the teeth of these extinct carnivores. Mosasaur teeth were designed with a conical form and serrated edges to grab and eat animals in the sea.
