The most impressive beetle specimen I’ve ever seen…

I think this was my first purchase from MiniBeast, and it’s the one that got me hoodies on collecting their amazing frames! I had a little space on my wall that I wanted to have a very ‘jungle’ like feel. The Goliath Beetle seemed to be a natural fit and oh my gosh, I love this amazing guy! I’m now kept company at my work desk by this incredible beetle. And once again, I have to sing MiniBeast’s praises because it’s obvious that they are so passionate about their craft. They’re preserving the beauty of these insects as well as adopting ethical practice and also helping with conservation efforts! An amazing company. Truly.

A humble little butterfly with a lot to say…

When I first ordered this, I thought it was going to be a completely brown butterfly. Imagine my surprise when this beautiful little specimen turned up with absolutely astonishing blue wings with little white flecks, like a miniature snowstorm. I hadn’t realised there was so much variation in this species. Again, this was prepared with such great care, it’s absolutely perfect. I cannot fault it and it’s another curious talking point. It actually made me want to research the butterfly a little more! An inspirational purchase. :)

The one butterfly you’d think couldn’t exist!

My absolute favourite butterfly species in the world, of which I’ve had the pleasure of seeing live and in person in the past. I feel incredibly privileged to own one of these specimens. Their see-through wings are absolutely incredible! Again, I never go to anyone else for butterfly/moth frames as I always know that MiniBeast have such a high standard of quality. I’m always over the Moon with their preparations and this was no exception!

Another incredible specimen!

I really wanted to add one of these butterflies to my collection as, not only are their markings beautiful, but they have a curious habit of making crackling noises (obviously not a framed one, but it’s a great point of conversation about the species!) I ended up adding this to quite a growing collection of MiniBeast specimens. My ‘Victorian study’ wall display is coming along thanks to their incredible preparations! Love them!

A simply stunning specimen!

When I first purchased this frame, I hadn’t realised just how huge this butterfly specimen was going to be. I was absolutely astonished when I unwrapped this beauty. Incredibly gorgeous markings that resemble ink splats, which is what first attracted me to it. I can only imagine what it must feel like to see these flitting around in the wild. Another gorgeous preparation by MiniBeast done to their usual excellent standards. Simply beautiful.

This Luna moth was the first gift I bought my now girlfriend and she loved it, she sobbed and now keeps it on a shelf next to her bed.

First framed butterfly

This is the first framed butterfly I've ever owned and it is beautiful! The specimen is perfect. The blue colour changes in the light like magic.

Definitely would recommend getting one if you love butterflies.
