Death's Beauty!

I always jokingly tell people that I "love and collect dead things," and this moth is the perfect representative of my appreciation for the beauty to be found in death. This moth is absolutely stunning. Its colors and patterns are vibrant and distinct, and it's mounted perfectly in the frame. Everything arrived intact and there are no identifiable blemishes. The frame is also really nice quality. It was super easy to mount on the wall, and it makes for a beautiful center piece over my bed. I love this specimen, and I highly recommend it to anyone.

This Butterfly is definitely my favourite of my collection.
The green shades against the black really catch the light when the sun shines through, and I am constantly seeing new shades of colour on it from different angles.

Leaf Insect

This little guy is super cute, even better up close in person than in the photos. I just can’t believe they are actually an insect. I do have the Gray’s leaf insect trio, and it is interesting to see the differences between the varieties. Bring on next month.

Man faced stink bug

This is one of the cutest beetles I have ever seen. He reminds me of Elvis with the slick black hair. Such a fun addition to my collection, it brings a smile to my face every time I look at it. Super happy with this little guy.

Truly gorgeous huge beetle

This sabretooth beetle is among my favourite specimens ever. The colourings and markings are gorgeous, and don’t even get me started on those huge mandibles. A super sized beetle that is sure to impress - it never fails to catch my eye every day.

Wallace’s Long Horn Beetle

This beetle is a really nice addition to my ever growing collection. Beautiful long antennae, and loving the little hooks on the end of his legs. Even better in person - the photos never do justice to how impressive these little critters are.

Magnificent.

This imperial sawyer beetle is hands down my absolute favourite beetle so far. It is just so impressive in size and overall look. Much more impressive in person than the pics denote. I can’t help but look at it all the time. I love the rich brown colour and the huge jointed antennae. Even down to the little gripping claw on the end of its legs. If I looked down and saw this beetle on me, I would certainly run for the hills. LOVE.

A relic from the past

This gorgeous little beetle really does look like a fossil from millions of years ago. It is only small, but it packs a punch. Very unusual looking beetle - it amazes me every time I look at it. I am super pleased with the presentation. Thanks Minibeast.

Lovely specimen

Love this specimen. Bigger than I expected and the colours are truly lovely. My terrible photograph-taking skills really do it no justice. But it's so beautiful and one of my favourite specimens that I own.
